Computing

At Orchard Academy we believe that computing should be a fundamental part of our pupils’ education because it is an integral part of the world around them and essential to everyday life.

Through knowledge of using of a wide range of technology and programmes we will equip children with versatile skills that can be adapted to future developments to be active participants in a rapidly changing digital world. #

Our computing curriculum will:

  • Create responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology
  • Enable children to become digitally literate through the use of different programmes and technologies
  • Teach children the importance of keeping safe in a digital world
  • Promote respectful online behaviour
